What Does a Computer Support Specialist Do?

Computer Support Specialists are the first line of defense for users experiencing IT-related issues. They provide technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot problems, and ensure the smooth operation of computer systems and networks. 

Key responsibilities may include: 

  • Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues (e.g., computer crashes, network connectivity problems, software installation errors).

  • Hardware & Software Installation: Installing and configuring computer hardware and software (e.g., operating systems, applications).
